Does anyone do the $25 Prevacid savings card?

I enrolled my son and used it last month for the first time. My husband had the written prescription and the card and dropped it off at Walgreens. The clerk claimed it was only good for one month and we'd need a new card for future prescriptions and that they'd keep this card. Well, I knew that wasn't right and was angry until I opend up the prescription and there was the card in the prescription! But my question is when I go to refill this, should I call and talk to someone and let them know I have this $25 savings card or can I do it when I pick it up? I'm just not sure because it's run like it's a secondary insurance, but not sure if I need to alert them before they fill it or when I pick it up. Anyone know?

At CVS on my prescription, they automatically take off the savings card every month. You might check before hand to save time though.

What is the Prevacid prescription card and how do I get it? The Dr. just prescribed it for my husband. Thanks!

I got mine at the drs office. It is like a secondary insurance, it comes right off your co-pay. They should also have some rebate forms there also.

It should automatically go through the savings card after it goes through the insurance. If it hasn't gone through the savings card (you'll know by the amount of the co-pay) then hand them the card (though they shouldn't need it) and ask them to run it through.

Sorry! I forgot to check the thread after I found my answer! But go to Google and type in Prevacid Beyond the Burn and it will come up. You fill out a form online and it took about six weeks for our card to show up, but it's wonderful since now DS's prescriptions are free!

I just have them fill mine and then give them my card when I pay.

At Walgreens it seems to stay with the prescription. So even if you do the automated refills, the computer will catch it and run it through the Prevacid program.

I assume everyone knows this, but the Prevacid program was supposed to end 12/31/07 but it was extended until 5/31/09!! I received an email confirming this and I can post that if anybody wants me to, but DH had called to ask what happens or if we could reapply and the lady told him that it was extended and then I received an email just last week about it.

Awesome! I just gave mine to a customer at my pharmacy and he will be happy to hear this!
