I just signed up for this and it says "save up to $50 on your next 6 refills"

I wonder why it's only 6 months now and is it up to $50 per refill or a total of $50 for the 6 refills?

I just got DH's card and it states that you get $50 off if you don't have any rx insurance. But if you do have rx ins, you would get up to $30 off. Not sure why it's only 6 refills...but hey, I will try to call for another card in 6 months.

I take Nexium. However, since it's a drug that I have to take daily, I must order it through our insurance mail order pharmacy (90 day supply at a time). Unfortunately, the coupon is not valid for mail orders prescriptions...the coupon is only valid at a local pharmacy.

I have two of these cards for our family. Our co-pay is $35.00 for each one of these prescriptions. It is great to only pay $5.00 each month. Hopefully, once the six months is up there will be another card available.

That's a shame. Have you tried calling AstraZeneca and asking them about your situation? If not, I'd atleast ask.

I called Astra Zeneca this morning regarding the fact that I must purchase my Nexium through the prescription mail order program. I inquired why the purple savings plan is only for scripts purchased at a pharmacy and not through mail order. She explained that meds are already heavily discounted through healthcare insurance prescription mail order programs and that's why they don't allow the additional $50 savings.

Heavely discounted already? I laughed when she told me that one. I have to shell out $350 for a 90 day supply until my husband and I meet an annual deductible of $2,200. After that, I pay $35. for a 3 month supply. It's easy for us to meet that deductibe with just my Nexium purchases alone!

Guess I shouldn't complain. At least we have healthcare coverage.

thanks so much i wonder how it will affect us. my DH takes this and we just got a thing in the mail asking us to do it through the mail order from our insurance but since it may not work i dont really wanna do that ya know. im going to try it this way first.
