Competitor Rx coupons at Albertsons LLC pharmacies?

Anyone know if the pharmacies in the Albertsons, LLC stores still accept competitor prescription coupons? I'm hoping to use the $30 one from a recent CVS ad.

I called the one I was planning on transferring the prescription to and it was not exactly the best of conversations. I asked if they accepted competitor prescription coupons and the woman said that they did. But, it depends on where it's from, the medication and if i'd had it filled at their store before. Then, she was like thank you and have a nice day. I had to speak fast to stop her from hanging up. I told her the coupon was from CVS, the medication and that I hadn't had it filled at their store. Then she asks if I was transferring it from CVS. I tell her no, from Winn-Dixie. She then says no they couldn't accept the coupon and is again about to end the call and I jump in and ask if they would accept a prescription coupon from Winn-Dixie and she says yes. I'm assuming she did not know Winn-Dixie's new ad has a $25 coupon. Before I could say anything else, it's have a nice day and she hangs up. Really, what's up with that? Any other pharmacy would have asked if the customer wanted to transfer a prescription, or at least hung on long enough to see if there was anything else the customer might like to ask. Gee, I wouldn't even be bothered, if I didn't want the gift card. But, I wouldn't exactly say i'm inspired to stick around for anything more than the refill that gets me the gift card.

What can I say? Some people are rude idiots. The transfer doesn't have to be from CVS to use a CVS coupon. That's the dumbest thing I ever heard of.

we have shaws here, in ct, which is owned by albertsons and they take almost any competitor coupons in existence. the only exception is when they have a prescription promo to get gift cards - usually in november...fill x number of rx's and get $$ gift cards to the store. some of the pharmacists get cranky if you've filled that particular med previously at shaws. we have 4 daily meds in our house so i have to keep track of what i fill where. and what time of day i do it.

I was just looking at our new Albertsons ad online and it says that they will match all competitor's prescription coupons and $4 generic offers. Always nice to add a new store to the list.

No, it's at winn-dixie.

sorry, we can't take it unless it's from the same pharmacy.

Ok, so I should transfer it to CVS then? Please get your manager.
