You can not "refill" Adderall, it is a controlled substance, same as narcotics, you have to have a new hand written script every month, by law.
I fill it every month for my DS and always manage to come up with a New Script Q. Luckily, in AZ they have been putting them in the paper (4 a week, per flyer) for several weeks.
We are a medicated (large) family, I have about $300 in gift cards currently...... |

Whether a coupon is accepted if it says "transfer" when it is a "new" prescription or vice versa really seems to depend on the person who checks you out at the pharmacy, seems to be a YMMV situation. I have had two different people in the same exact pharmacy deal with the same kind of situation differently--one accepted "transfer" Q on a brand new prescription whereas the other person (on a different day/different trip) told me that I couldn't use the coupon because it was a "new" prescription and the coupon said "transfer." (I.e. take your old bottle from pharmacy A with you, and present it to pharmacy B along with the new prescription, and see if they will honor a transfer coupon.) It seems that some pharmacies (like the CVS in my area) will accept a coupon regardless of whether it says "new" or "transfer" because they want to keep the pharmacy business and not loose it to a competitor.
Seems like this is a highly variable situation and it is hard to predict in advance what will happen. I always go into the pharmacy hoping for the best, yet realizing I might be told "no". |

| | Re: CVS called me "why did you transfer your Rx?" It seems that I use up my Rx gift cards more quickly at the grocery store, and that my CVS gift cards seem to last much longer.
I have to get some refills and even though I know that CVS will probably accept coupons even though the prescriptions were already filled at CVS last month, I am planning to take them to the grocery store because I have run out of GC $ at my grocery store whereas I still have two GC's from CVS which still have enough $ on them.
Sometimes I wonder how long these promotions will last. KWIM? |

I live near Springfield and we get coupons all the time for Dillons(Kroger) and CVS for $20 and $25 GC's I have RX that are written monthly and I get a GC with each one. |

| | Re: CVS called me "why did you transfer your Rx?" I know I'm finding this thread a little late, I was doing a search and this came up. I want that phone call! I just transferred a(n) rx yesterday from CVS to RiteAid ($20 gc) but I'd rather have CVS' $25, plus I shop at CVS more often...... well I'll wait and see...

| | Re: CVS called me "why did you transfer your Rx?" My son is on ADHD meds, and so when I get his prescription, I take it to one pharmacy, and tell them to keep it for me, then I transfer it to another one without ever filling it at the first one, and this counts as a transferred prescription and I have gotten the gift card this way every time. My stores are Longs, Walgreens, Target, and Rite Aid that I have done this between, and it is Longs that had the "transferred prescription" wording. I think Walgreens is next, but my son got switched to Medical from Healthy Families this month, and I am pretty sure they won't honor it for Medical patients, so I might be out of luck, but maybe this will help someone!!
When I drop off at Rite Aid to transfer to Longs, I just tell them to hold the prescription and not fill, the lady was laughing at what I was doing, I told her it was so I could get the gift card from Longs, she did it with no problem at all! |

I had trouble, with them as well and just don't use their pharmacy. They would send me coupons for $60 if I transferred my rx's but whenever I tried they would come up with some excuse. I figure it's their loss.
But, I go Krogering a lot and most of my staff is pretty nice. The day manager is great and has no problem with my coupons or my entertainment.com book that I use constantly at his store. With their $10/10 deals and BOGO matched up with coupons, oh honey. You can make a killing. Now, they have a campain going where every time you use their coupon they will donate to a clean water campain for others. Sometimes they will have amazing compaigns that will actually pay you for shopping there.
Hopefully, I misunderstood and you are just banning the pharmacy, cause wow there's a whole lota Kroger out there, just waiting to be explored.
