have $4 rx, need a gc deal

I have a generic $4 rx (new) that I need to fill sometime this comming week. Does anyone know of a place with a gc deal? I looked at rite aid and noticed it was only for a transfer. If there is a gc for say $10 and the rx is only $4, would I get a $4 or $10 gc? Thanks for any help!

I have cvs, rite aid, kroger, walgreens, kmart, target, and walmart around me.

From what I saw in the sneak preview Target has a 10.00 GC with a new or tranferred script. HTH

So drop the perscription at one Pharmacy and go to Rite Aid and have them transfer it. I usually have my doctor's office call it in to one Pharmacy and go to Rite Aid and transfer it. Never had a problem doing either of these senerios and gettting my GC. Hope this helps.

I've also done this and had it transfered to CVS without problem (only cause I needed CVS gc worse than RA). This is def the way to go. The new RX cpn only gets you $10, but the transfer gets you $25.

Doesn't matter what your RX costs, your gc gets whatever the value says on the cpn.

I have never heard this before. Am I getting this right....

I drop off my NEW prescription off at CVS. Then, like a hour later, I go to Rite Aid and tell the I want it transferred to Rite Aid and I can get a $25 gift card?

Also, fyi, Rite Aid price matches. I price match walmart all the time.

Another fyi, you can use giftcard for RX at CVS, but not Rite Aid.

I think dropping off a new script and then having them transfer it is a lil sneaky and also a YMMV type thing.

Beginning July 1, 2009 (at least in Oregon) Rite Aid will no longer price match. Check your RA pharmacy first.....

I have thought about doing the same thing.. You need to catch them before they fill it. Drop it off and then call 15 - 20 minutes later and ask them to hold it. Then go to RA to have it transferred....
