transferring RX's more than once

I transferred 2 CVS rx's to RA last month to get the GC. I now have 2 Q's for new or transferred rx's to CVS. Can I transfer the ones from RA back to CVS this month and get the GC?

I'm wondering the same thing...do they ever say *no* if you move them on a monthly basis...how often do pp transfer them?

Good question... I do it every couple of months. I dont know if there is a limit or not but that would be good to know.

I know my RA ones say only one per customer every 6 mos, but the CVS ones are not clear to me.

I do this all the time - and if my script is at rite aid and I don't have a cvs coupon - I use the rite aid ones as competitors coupons....

It says one coupon every 6 months, so I didnt even try to do another Rite Aid, but since some people have been able to, I will give it a try. I took Rite Aid coupons to Walmart and Kmart. They will honor a competitor's coupons, as well as some Targets. I also have two more Rite Aid coupons that I want to use before expiration. At Kmart, I just took the gift card and bought a $25 gift card for Olive Garden instead. They have lots of gift card choices if you don't want to keep the WalMart or Kmart ones.

I think you have to watch the wording on the coupon. Some say that they can't be used on an Rx already filled at CVS... some don't. Check the wording on your coupon and go from there. Good Luck! HTH

I work in a pharmacy as a tech and I just want to offer a word of caution on transferring your scripts. As long as your prescription is not a controlled substance you can transfer them back and worth as much as you like. However, by law controlled medication can only be transferred once. So you will not be able to transfer that script back to your original store. And narcotic medications are not transferable at all, but then they are rarely written for refills as it is.

I think that there is a printable Q for transfer RX on Rite Aid Pharmacy - With Us, It's Personal. The pharmacies in my area that will give GC for a transfer RX and match competitor coupons are Rite-Aid, Longs, Ralph's(Kroger) and Sav-on(inside the Albertson's). Each store of all of the chains seems to interpret the rules differently. Some say you can only do it once every six months, some say you can only do one per person per day. I think that they are very aware that some of us have used this to our advantage (however within the rules) and are making this more difficult to do.

We have over 12 monthly RX meds in our house. I have been transferring them between the different pharmacies and multiple locations of the same chain for the last few years and have gotten GC on most of them.

Check out the cost of the med that you are getting with Costco and Wal-mart. If you have to pay for them without insurance they have the lowest prices. Some pharmacies will also match the lower prices.
