Default New or transferred prescription coupon question

It says Get up to $60.00 in frre Groceries with your next 3 new or transferred priscriptions. Does that mean that they have to be 3 different prescriptions? I mean, if I get one for Nasonex filled this month and get the $20 coupon, can I get the refill for Nasonex next month and get another $20 coupon? Or does it have to be for a new script they've never filled there before?

Yes. You get $20 for each new rx not for refills. My Kroger doesn't give you a gift card for it, they put it straight on your Kroger card. So, when they scan your barcode it will credit your account, then when you go to pay for your groceries or RX's, your card will automatically use the money on your card. Hope this didn't confuse you more.

One tip ... this may or may not be necessary, but I've read enough posts where people have had problems with it that I feel like it is worth mentioning ...

When your cashier begins to ring up your groceries ... TELL HER (or him) that you have pharmacy rewards on your card but that you DO NOT want to use them until AFTER they have entered your coupons.

Some people have said that their pharmacy rewards were used automatically to pay the full total of their purchase BEFORE they gave the cashier their coupons. Some people say that the cashier is SUPPOSED to ask you before they press the button to use the pharmacy rewards, but that some cashiers don't do this. I know this is a YMMV kind of thing, but I think it is worth just mentioning to the cashier to head off any problems.

FWIW ... I have TWO new prescriptions to drop off for my hubby today!!! I'm actually looking forward to going to the pharmacy *LOL* Does anyone know, since it's two separate prescriptions at one time, should I be able to get two of the $20 credits or just one?

Hi Elaine-

As far as I know, you can get the credits all at one time. We filled 3 new Rx's one day, and she applied all 3 $20 credits to our card. When we checked out, the cashier asked us if we'd like to use our pharmacy credit, we of course said yes, and it took $60 off our total. :)

Just be sure to save your coupon so you can use your final 3rd credit...

***

To the OP: the coupon works for new prescriptions either called in by your doctor or written on a new script, or of course any that you have transferred in. It does not work on refills. So for your nose spray, just have your Doc. write you out or call in a new Rx each month :)

Is there a coupon necessary for this offer? I have 3 new RXs that I need to get filled and would love to get in on this deal.

Thanks!

Go check out with one prescription. Then a few days later (if you can wait) check out again. That way it is under the radar (pretty much the only thing I go under the radar).

I have had LOTS of trouble with checking out when using coupons.

I have one trick that is a little easier.

Buy $20 worth of meat or something you don't usually have a coupon for laying around.

Kroger has a great pharmacy! (at least my store does )

They have a $4 generic program similar to Walmart, and 9 times out of 10, my prescription is ready to be picked up by the time I'm done shopping.

I'm 99% sure you need a coupon to get the RX transfer deal, but ask at the pharmacy counter the next time you go into Kroger. You may get lucky! (good luck! )
