need advice on painting stripes

I've never heard of the stripes using poly, but thats a really great idea.

Good find on the oops. We were pricing supplies to build a desk/dog bed and found the perfect shade of pale lilac the other day for .99. Perfect type as well. Now we just have to wait to build it.

We did stripes for our nursery. The one HUGE thing I would give advice on is take off the tape while the paint is still wet. We had no idea and kept it on for a few days while trying to finish and by the time I took the tape off, sheetrock was coming off with it also. Stripes are amazing when all finished but they take a lot of work and measuring!! It was totally worth it, I am adding a few pics

Great job on the oops paint. I normally buy all my paint at walmart since it's only $10 a gallon there, but 3cans at $15 is even better!!

Also, we painted the entire wall the lighter color, then taped where we wanted the darker stripes to go. It got confusing b/c we had tape all over so I just stuck a piece of tape in each stripe what was going to be the dark color so I wouldn't mess it up.

THANKS!!!! It was a lot of work repairing it since the tape pulled off the sheet rock. But so worth it in the end. It's been a year now and we haven't touched another room ...
