we are at about 75k a year-- but this year we'll be down to 70k and next year about 60k (lost my job)! We want kids so it's okay. We have an okay home and are digging out of debt. Our goal is to build a house on some land we own in the county by 2012-2014!! Seems so far off but we need to pay off debt and save for a downpayment on building a house! Yikes and we want to THROW kids in the mix!

I've always found this poll particularly interesting, because it dispells the myth that only poorer people coupon.
I grew up poor...was raised on boiled cabbage and hot dogs (double yuck). My mother never held a coupon in her hands. Now, our family income (inc pension) is over $100k annually & I know I'll coupon for the rest of my life. Only makes good financial sense, kwim?
I like to hope that the common sense approach we all take towards couponing, also reflects in the way we deal with our other finances and spending habits; though the lure of credit is very tempting.
Peace, Lisa

We're in the 35,000 - 40,000 range DH just started working at his new job in February and the overtime fluctuates every week..so I'm not sure what $ we'll end up at.
No credit card debt - just my van payment - $300/month. No mortgage- although hopefully someday we'll be building a house. We currently live in a (small) 4 room apartment in the back half of my grandmother's house, well it's actually our house since she transferred it over to us last year, but it needs ALOT of work. ALOT of work and we think it would actually be easier and less $ to just build new.
I think we have everything we need for now (although a little more room would be super) plus a few extras but nothing really extravagant.

My husband is the only one working right now, since I am a SAHM to a beautiful boy. Our income is around $125 K. I love to coupon and save as much money as I can. My husband is always telling me that I get nearly "everything" for free! I learned how to coupon and stockpile from my Dad! My husband is a physician and is very proud of me and my spending habits!!!!!
Our income is $100,000 a year. I'm a member of another board as well and would never feel comfortable posting this there. It seems like on this other board an inordinate amount people are on WIC, foodstamps, and/or have very low incomes, so I would never feel comfortable posting my answer there. It's interesting how when I shop in lower-income neighborhoods to stock up on deals, the cashiers examine those coupons like they are the coupon police, so now I have decided that it just isn't worth going into those stores no matter how great the deal, because there is ALWAYS an issue there with coupons.
I never said it was the neighborhood. Please reread my post. It is a fact that the people who could really benefit from couponing don't do it, hence the cashiers that work in these supermarkets are not as accustomed to shoppers utilizing coupons as they are in other supermarkets. I am a Christian, my intention was not to offend you or anyone.
Before R and I split, our combined income was pretty high, but now that I'm on my own with the kids, it's half the amount. No worries... as stated above: it's all about budgeting!
There are 5 of us in our family and right now w/dh being off on a back injury and on worker's comp (for over a yr now), we live on $1300/mos. It's tough, REALLY tough, but I even find a way to donate to the "needy/poor", same class as me w/my cpning, price-matching, cvs deals, etc.
If you could spare one, please remember my family in your prayers.
