Got into credit card debt, paid it off, then a DD got into serious CC debt, so we got another cc, took out money to pay off hers(she paid it back a little at a time). Cosigned a loan for another DD for a car, she defaulted, and we did the right thing and took over payments. Borrowed more money for yet ANOTHER DD, ended up borrowing against our paid for house, so I guess our biggest financial mistake was having children


Still paying on the house, but no more CC's for us, we finally learned our lesson with that.


We still help the kids out(we have raised 8), and the ones we helped are doing well and I think learned their lessons.
