I worked in timeshares for a few years. All i have to say is if you are going to buy. Please buy points and not weeks. AND WATCH THE SALESMAN AND READ EVERYTHING. you can always buy and most people have 7 days or so to back out of it. the sample is always good to try out. I would go on a big trip

I'm sorry this isn't working out for you. As some others have said, we all make financial mistakes.

I did want to mention that we bought a timeshare and love it! We took our time, researched everything, and bought on our own terms. We toured different resorts for 2 years before we bought and when we bought, we chose re-sale. We got a $20,000 resort for $2,000. We have taken over 20 tours now, at $100 cash gift for each tour, so we have gotten our $2,000 investment back!! We also have a large family - six children, so for us, timeshares are the only way to travel. Our resort is paid for, and we can exchange it for 2 - 3 weeks of vacation a year. Traveling and exchanging in the US and internationally. Typically a week cost us $189.00 - for 7 days and 7 nights - no tax, no maid fees, nothing! Just $189.00 for the entire week. We stay in beautiful, Gold Crown 2, 3 or 4 bedroom units. My husband and I have been to the Bahamas twice and stayed on a private beach, in a gorgeous private resort for $169.00 - for 7 days and 7 nights! I'm just adding this info to let you know that just because this timeshare deal didn't work out, maybe in the future, at the right time, and with the right research, you might want to try timeshares again. We love ours.

I agree with this - buy points! I would also add, buy re-sale. Don't buy from the developer. You will pay 10 times the money for the exact same thing.
