bankrupt and law suit lawer help

first my spelling sucks... our closing for the bankrupt was i wanna say 2 months ago the house is in my name 34,000 paid off so if I am getting $ from a car accident that was recorded in the bankrupsy is that $ mine or is only 6,000 vs $10,000 mine to get me to the $40,000 limit? or since the car insurance is in hubbys name is the $ his?

Was the car in your name and his? Was the car fixed if so who has the car? Is the check for someone getting hurt or just for the car?

If you car was not fixed and you filed on the money owed on it the check my go right to the bankrupt claim..if the check is for someone that got hurt the check should be made out to the person that got hurt and got the lawyer that will be giveing out the check. I know here that the lawyer will get the money from the insurance then will take his part and wirte you a check out for the rest, but if you filed any medical bills from the accident on your health insurance the lawyer may have to repay the health insurance back out of your part before he can write you a check. In this state there is some kind of state scaning system he has to check before he (the lawyer) can write out your check...

thanks for the inf about the turtle......car was fixed hubby is a car guy and the $ is for all the issues after the accident headaches fearfulness of the car car was in hubbys name and still is and we own our cars and house out right they are peices of crap but they are our peices of crap

mine to!! but they are paid for... as long as you did not have any medical bills paid for by your health insurance you should get whatever the lawyer dont take from you as his part..

I have 3 year old twins so I know all about the certin toy thing!! LOL
