IMO, if you want to approach this from a couponers way of thinking..you would be further ahead stockpiling like crazy & reselling at a flea mkt or garage sale.
I agree with Meems on that - otherwise you'll just be running your feet off, get jerked around and probably waste more on gas and wear+tear on your car, nerves and kids than you make moneywise.

I'd focus on getting freebies, low price bargains and would offer them in box lots to my customers; I've been doing that off and on in order to keep my stockpile from expiring or getting too old, and to move all of the extra HBA items we'd never use in the next 5 years or so. While it is not an income worth talking much about, I also use it for bargaining and bartering and exchanges, and it does bring in a bit extra cashflow to fund my "extras" budget [extras the things we don't get coupons for, but are needed nevertheless].

I think the homeday care is an excellent one - I [single mom] stayed home with my son until he was 2. grade in school - and had a number of longterm daycare kids that ended up going to school with him, by the time I closed the business. While it is not great pay, it does allow you to stay home, make a living and with the coupon/stockpile buz on the side, you should be able to get by nicely.

Be sure to get yourself divorced [or at least legally seperated] and your childsupport started if you haven't yet!!! Hugs to you! Lmnde

I have thought of the same exact idea once up on a time. I told myself not to though. I will do shopping trips for my mom but she is in the situation where she needs the savings even more than I do so I dno't feel righ taking her savings and pocketing it. I am such a softy, I would find my self using my spare time to benifit others at my expense. I have done deals at rite aid using her purchases towards a g/c and din't feel right keeping the gift card. Now I set her up with her own single check rebate program, so she gets what is right fully hers.

In the event you have "coustomers" that you are shoping for I would definetly have them give you their shopping $$ first so you are not spending your own $$ to have to get reimbursted. I know like my fil has had me do shopping for him for specific things and I work a deal then he wants the recipt and pays me what I paid. I have to be honest though that kind of urked me because I could have used certain Q's on my own purchases but needed the $$ that I saved him in coupons in my pocket.

Some things to think about though and taking the kids from store to store. To customers house to deliver groceries that is alot of baggage think of all the wear and tare you will put yourself through.

I really think its great that you are determed to make it on your own, you are a smart strong women. Sorry for the things that you had to go through, I am gald you got youself and your children out of the situation. Before the thoughts are gone from your mid on a sheet of paper write all the reasons you left put it somewhere and refer to it when you think things will be different if you go back. They say time heals all things; but I think we just seem to forget or maybe it is forgive and forget. ((((HUGS))) You can do it!!

The stockpile selling and daycare ideas I think are great.
