What percent of your take-home pay is your mortgage?

Ha! I am on disability and what I get for my daughter and myself doesn't even cover the mortgage. Luckily my husband works. Don't know what we will do next year when he retires though.

DH got a raise in October and payments are now 30% of his take home pay.

Unfortunately, I feel like everything else is going up in cost and really we aren't doing better than we were!

We pay more for health insurance than we did. Gas is going up rapidly. The list goes on!

I hope my husband will be getting a raise. Some of the military will be getting a 4% raise (I think) in Jan. I will be getting a 3% raise in Jan. on my disability even though they say the cost of food has gone up 4%.

I just know that we have been cutting back as much as we can at the moment and we still have less money.
