placing coupon with item at register
what do you all think about this? I haven't couponed in a long time so today was a new experience. My first store I didn't know we are suppose to place the coupon with the item when we place it on the register belt. the cashier was so fast in ringing up items and swiping the coupons that i wasn't able to keep up with it all. I'm pretty sure there were a couple coupons that didn't double. but, i was running late and had to go. it's a PITA to have to put the coupon with the items but at least that slowed the cashier down enough and i could see what doubled and what didn't.

Re: placing coupon with item at register
I hate it! I usually have enough items that they cover more than the belt. So I'm still putting crap on there matched up with my coupon when they start scanning. I try to keep and eye to make sure that they get rang up and they double if they are supposed to. I have had one cashier that if they coupon doesn't scan she just puts it in the scanned pile and keeps going. And I know she knows that it didn't scan cause when I caught her doing it I said "hey I don't think that one scanned" she never blinked or looked at the register or anything. She grabbed the coupon and keyed it in for me.

Re: placing coupon with item at register
oh that was sneaky of her. I also like to watch everything closely. I told the cashier today that i'm trying to pinch my pennies. she laughed and said she understood. one of my homelands has the round revolving (insert name of thing you put the groceries on lol) thing which makes it very difficult to put a larger order on AND watch the register.
and, at the store that told me i needed to place the coupons with the items, i was told today it didn't matter. i think i'm liking that a lil better now because i can tell what coupons multiplied and what didn't a lil easier since it is on the receipt next to product price.
