That's like asking which is better apples or oranges. What are you asking about?

The 7.2volt should have an Amp rating to be able to compare them. HTH

Are you looking to buy a drill? Perhaps if you post what you are looking for and what you will be using it for several of us could help you.

well I needed it to punch a hole in my headlight (water) so I could drain it and put silicon in it. (Anyone notice how the cars down here always have watery headlights?) But something told me to go to lowes while I was gassing up. They Had JUST put ONE complete unit of a BLACK and DECKER 9.2 Volt (I know not the biggest but I don't need much) cordless and corded drill with case for $22!!! 2500 RPM 9.2 Volt 22 Clutch ATtachments etc.

Here is your physics lesson for the week:
AMPere) A measurement of electrical current in a circuit. Contrast with "volts," which is a measure of force, or pressure, behind the current. Multiplying amps times volts derives "watts," the total measurement of power. In electrical equations such as Ohm's Law, the symbol for amp is "I" (see Ohm's Law).
