    Default Gifts from Realtor...from stockpile

First off, I'm a Realtor....2ndly, I thought it would be a good idea, and a big money saver for me to give gift packs from my stockpile and save money during this tougher real estate market.

I know alot of agents don't give anything to their buyers, but I've always given $50-$100 Lowes gift cards at closing....(or something that fits the buyer if a house needs NO work at all)

Friday I gave my first gift bag from my stockpile! It was exciting...single girl, first time buyer....was able to give (free giftbag and tissue from Hallmark--that doesn't count..but it was awesome to save $4 on that!) I gave her an Airwick Imotion, glade plugin and 2 refills, 2 Marion Lane candles (i got free locally), a couple CFL lightbulbs, plyers, a pack of batteries and a 20 pk of Finish tabs since her rental didn't have a DW. All FREE! I figure I can save $2500-$4000 per year by doing this.

NOW I need your thoughts! What would be some stockpile items that would be appropriate for NEW BUYERS, FIXER UPPER HOMES, or PREVIOUS HOMEOWNERS.

The only thing I have on hand for the fixer uppers is 2 rolls of the scotch painters tape. ANY THOUGHTS APPRECIATED!
    If it isn't free.....it isn't for me!

air freshners! if you were able to get in on the comman hooks that were cheap or free if you had publix mfq coupons. I think even adding toiletress in would be fine. Closing on a house and getting everything turned on is alot of money on their side! When we bought our house our realtor gave us a gas gift card and a gift basket , she added german beer because well she was german and we had just moved back to the states from germany! I think theyd love anything you put in a gift bag! Id start diong that, i am sure theyd appreciate it alot! I know i would if my realtor had done that when we moved in! that is a great idea!

I would think that any cleaning supplies would be appreciated! When we bought our house I spent a while day just deep cleaning the place while it was still empty so it was nice and clean once we got settled. I think it's great of you to give your buyers a gift

The Command hooks are available cheap/free quite often, and a new homeowner would probably appreciate NOT making holes in those expensive new walls of theirs.

Our relator gave us a gift card for a local restaurant...that was a nice gesture! I think more than anything the gesture is just a nice personal touch to give something.

Air fresheners/candles, cleaning supplies, paper towels, command hooks, light bulbs, batteries I think those are all good ideas and needed items for new home owners.

I like the command hook idea! great....and the cleaners I thought about, but thought, what if they already have them, would they like it? I guess a good variety would be cool. Thanks for all the ideas!

I think it is the gesture that counts too. I got a fruit basket from our agent which I am sure was cheaper than a gift card. I wasn't expecting anything though, so it was a nice surprise.

I think address labels would be a neat idea too and always really cheap...with their new address on them:)

I'm on board with cleaning items. DH and I had to do a lot of work on our home before we were able to move in, and we used bunches of cleaning products. Some snack items would also be good for handling the munchies when you're cleaning and moving so you don't have to run out too often for food. Granola bars, sports drinks, chocolate, and crackers would have been great for us.

I think cleaning supplies, the CFLs were a great idea, paint brushes/related painting items, maybe some of those plastic insulator window kits if the house is old, plant seeds if it's springtime.
