    Default Best Couch Slipcover?

I always keep a slipcover on my couch - have animals with weak stomachs....anyways - my couch cover NEVER looks like the picture except for the first 2 minutes it is on the couch. I have heard the stretch slip covers are really good (better than the tie ones)....but they are more expensive... anyone have one of these and if so, care to give me your experience/feedback with it? What do you have? What do you consider the best? What kind of good deal did you get on it and where did you buy it?

    Any suggestions??

I bought these over the weekend. They look ok but if you sit on it its falling off.

I am really interested in hearing others opinions on these sofa slip covers.

    Thanks

I've never seen slipcovers like that before.... those are new to me - I have no idea how well they might work.. I use the ones that cover hte entire couch and they need constant readjusting - they never look like the photo.

I have the stretch ones now and they're really no different from the woven type. You can try taking a long pole like a broomstick and slipping it behind the cushions to hold down the fabric since that's the part that slips out the most. Other than that if I ever buy another I will spend the extra money and get one with seperate cushion covers. I think ultimately that's the only way to keep them looking semi neat.

Hi, I have both pets and ugly couches and chairs, so I've used slipcovers for years. They have improved over the years (the first one I had used plastic toilet-paper-looking do-dads you put in near the cushions!), but still aren't perfect and can be spendy.

I've never tried an elastic-type one (yet).

Target regularly clearances their slipcovers when their fabric/styles change. I've even found some online returns in the store for as inexpensive as $12 for a chair cover! Scope out your Targets and see if you can find a deal.

Also, most importantly, measure your furniture and bring the measurements to the store. It's important to read the package and see what size of furniture the cover will fit.
