We have 2 outdoor buildings. One is 1/2 owned by and home to our goat :) The other houses some misc items and our (small) deep freezer. There's electricity. I did not have any luck with detergents, they congeal, in the winter. I have store for HBA items. Currently all food is fitting in my cabinets. It's not too far. I stored toilet paper out there until we ran out of our stock pile, i did keep it in a rubbermade container to keep the critters out.

I thought about just putting winter clothes/coats and using it for storage that way. It's 14X16 or so.

Sounds like you have alot of room to organize things. Wish I has a storage building! I would suggest going through your home and anything that you haven't used in a few months, put it in the building. That way you still have it if you need it, but you have cleaned out extra space in the home.

I'd store holiday decorations in plastic totes in an extra building if I could. (DH loves Halloween and Christmas, so we have a lot of stuff.) These are things you need just once per year anyway.
