    This site is awesome.

    Knock Off Wood

    This one's not bad, either.

Thank you so much, My DD is outgrowing her Rose covered cottage. The play kitchen's on Ikea hacker, may be just the thing for daddy to use all those power tools he keeps collecting

I will be moving into a new and much larger house soon, so expensive furniture isn't in the budget. This is going to be a great resource.

OMG I spent like 4 hours on Ana's site yesterday. Then I went to Home Depot and bought a drill and the wood for the $10 ledges. First ledge almost complete - I had to stop because it got too late to subject my downstairs neighbors to the drill lol.

    I am hooked.

I didn't have to build anything, but I used the knock off idea for my DD's room remodel.

DD wanted a white retro-country PBT headboard and three frilly tables; I had a near-coronary when I saw how much they were in the catalog. I went to a consignment shop and found the exact same pie frill table and side tables with drawers for $25 each. I took them home, cleaned and lightly sanded them, then painted them all white. Absolutely no one can tell they aren't "real" PBT (I would counter that my tables are the "real" thing, PBT knocked THEM off!). We easily saved A THOUSAND DOLLARS and DD got her dream bedroom.

I saw this post and decided to explore, too. I'm hooked. I've spent sooo much time poking around that sight lately and have finally started building. I built this table yesterday:

I'm so proud of it. I still need to stain and finish it, but the table is awesome. There are several projects there now on my to do list. It's my latest obsession.
