How much does it cost to get a stamped concrete patio?

We just had estimates done and for a 10 foot by 26 foot patio it was about $5500 (in Northern VA/DC area). HOWEVER, when my husband and I started researching it, we decided to go with brick instead for $7200 (same area size). We heard horrible things about stamped concrete, since they can only get the consistancy of the color once because they mix it themselves, I have heard if there is a crack or chip in the patio, they can almost never color match it exactly, so you would have a mismatching section. It is also VERY easy for them to crack and chip, and they stain, and are slippery in the winter. With brick, if one brick is cracked, they can just pop it out and replace it (and I have extra of the same color). And it wont affect any of the other bricks. Just food for thought.

I just googled it in my area. I am not sure what area you are in, but I would google it, and then look for reviews, and check the better buisness beaureu website to see if they have any complaints against them before you hire them!

Just google something like:

"Stamped concrete Springfield, OH" and just put in your city name obviously.
