Default Magnetic Paint

Berry, berry interwesting...

RustOleum.com
I believe there's other brands too, but the link is for Rustoleum.
It's called a magnetic paint, to paint on the wall and goes on as a black primer...needs many, many thin coats and to be shaken at the store in a paint shaker just before painting (literally) but it can be coated over with regular paint colors and magnets will stick to your wall.

I dunno, but I think I might just want to cover the surface with a piece of metal and paint over that instead. But it might have interesting possibilities.

I used the magnetic paint in my DS room last year (brand??) It is way cool. I did a whole wall in it so he can hang his posters and stuff. Works great! You just paint in on, let it dry and then cover with the wall paint color.

I did this in my girls room. It took 5 coats of magnetic paint then i added 3 coats of chalkboard paint on top. they can write on it like a blackboard or use the flat magnet scenes to play with. i painted a flower border around it too. cheap and fun. everyone loves it.

My frend used the magnetic paint and painted a "road" on the wall so her little boy could drive his cars on the wall. And the cars stay on!

Default Re: Magnetic Paint (For apartments or rental)

You can paint it on an thin piece of wood and hang it on the wall like an picture ect. This works GREAT when you rent. We have rentals and I tell and let them do this instead of whole wall.
