Tips: Contacting Companies to Complain or Cheer!

How often does every re contcat each company?

I did each one once last year, but some have said to contact every 6 months. So I set up a google alert to remind me to re-email.

But I emailed about 30 companies over the weekend, I'll post the results.

Hopefully I can score some goodies!

I got 3 $.50 Q's from Kimberly Clark for complimenting Scott Extra Soft and asking for q's.

I got 4 $.50 q's from Heinz for complimenting their NSA ketchup and asked for q's (the few q's they ever have are never good for that ketchup).

Well it's been ALMOST a week and here are the replies so far:

You will receive a replacement for your purchase via regular mail. We value having you as a consumer and hope you will continue to enjoy our products." -replacement? what? lol

Blue Bunny-Complained about the ice cream sandwiches I bought, the chocolate wafer part was crunchy =/ **Sent a Q for free box and one for $1 off any BB product- Told me they're trying a new freezing method that probably led to the crunchy wafers**
Unilever-**Sent 12(came out to $10.10) diff Q's for diff Unilever products**

Wonder bread/Hostess- **Sent(1) Free product**

SC Johnson- Sending a coupon for free Oust spray(came with a booklet with a lot of $1 off coupons)

Pepsico- **sent (1)$1 off any Quaker brands**

Del Monte- I complained that their site wouldnt let me print the ONE coupon they had available.. and they said they'd send that one or one of equal value. **Sent 3 Q's- (1)One free del monte can- any variety up to 20oz, not to exceed $1.90, (2)50cents off any Del Monte canned food, snack cup, or ketchup**

Crisco-**sent (2) 55cents off any crisco product**

Nestle- **sent (1)B1G1 Wonka Tinglerz, (1)55cents off nestle chocolate, (1)25cents off chocolate**

Kong(Dog toy company)- sent three $2 off any kong product

Green Giant veggies- I complained abbout the seals coming apart**Sent (2)$1 off any Green Giant canned or frozen veggies, (1)free frozen package of veggies**

Pillsbury- Also complained- told them that my toaster strudels were missing icing packets.**Sent (1)Free box Q, (1)$1 off**

Ragu- **Sent(2)free jar of Ragu sauce**

Country Crock- sending a "token of appreciation"

Nylabone- Gave me suggestions, and a 2$ off coupon that I can print multiples of, doesnt exp. til 2010. (found this coupon online later) --Also sent three $2 off any nylabone product

Treetop- 2 coupons for 50cents off any product

Foster Farms- **Sent (4) 55cent off any box of corn dogs/mini corn dogs 29.3oz or larger [EXP 2/28/09 *grumbles*]**

McCormick- Sending 2 free product coupons, I think..**WRONG-Sent(2)55cents off any, (1)50cents of any 2 dry seasoning mix**

Alberto Culver- Sending one cents off coupon for St. Ives product and one cents off for Mrs. Dash

Dreyer's Ice cream- "As a valued consumer, please watch your mail for coupons to be used toward future purchases"**Sent (2).50cents off 1quart or larger**

Johnson & Johnson- Sending some coupons for their products, I commented on a few, and also asked for a coupon to
me mailed to me since their website wouldn't let me print it.
**Sent (3)$1 off any J&J product**

Carl Budding-**Sent(2)free 2oz pkg lunch meat**


The following companies told me no and to check the newspaper/grocery store for coupons:

Red Vine said they didn't have a mailing list, that they already strive to provide great prices. Didn't say they would send anything.

Do you just compliment these companies or do you compliment them and then ask for a coupon?

The ones I complimented on, towards the end of my message I said something like

"I was wondering if there was a mailing list I could be added to, or any coupons you could send my way"

The one I complained to I didn't say anything about a mailinglist/coupons

I wrote Red Vine in mid December. I got a reply about 2 weeks ago (so it took a while) that I would get a package soon.

Tomorrow is President's Day and here on base they don't even deliver mail on Saturdays. I doubt that I'll be getting any more neat coupons in the mail until at least Tuesday :sad:
