Mmmmm, grainy ice cream....

I called Haagen Dazs when I found a strawberry leaf in my ice cream. I gave them the numbers from the bottom of the carton. They sent me 2 coupons for a free quart, 2 for free pints, and 4 for $2 off any size. I didn't care that the letter they sent was obviously a form letter.

I went to the website but I couldn't find the contact link but I manage to get the telephone number. 877-293-0876 I was told that they will be sending coupons my way. For Rudi Organic Bakery.

Nice! They've already sent me an email response although no mention of coupons. Hopefully they're on the way. :)

I tried to call Old spice today for the prove-it challenge(the deodorant made my poor dh itch and burn.) All I could get ahold of was the automated section. The recording was downright degrading, insinuating that my dh wasn't manly enough for their product.

I left a message, but was so mad, I wrote them an email. They answered back about they don't know why this happened, the deodorant went through very strict testing. blah, blah, blah...

They did say they would be sending out a letter in the mail to me. No mention of replacement cost or coupons or anything. I guess I will just have to wait and see. It says right on the deodorant there is a 1-800-prove-it guarantee. If they are going to make it this hard to get your money back, they shouldn't bother to offer it.

I sent out a few emails/online forms last week. Today, I got from DelMonte (Starkist) for complimenting on solid white tuna : a thank you note (nice!) and 2 free coupons (nicer!)-- 1 for free can solid white albacore and 1 for a free pouch.
I also got a nice envelope from McCain Foods for complimenting them on the Smiles potatoes for the kids. It included FIVE free coupons (all $3.99 max): 2 for any McCain product (12/09 exp), 1 Smiles (6/07), 1 Premium Golden Crisp (6/07), 1 Baby Cakes (12/09) -- EXCELLENT!

Re: Contacting Companies to Complain or Cheer!

I just joined yesterday and spent hours going through topics. Read this one and started sending e's to some of the companies. Lactaid was one, and I told them I love their product but was having to buy the store brand because of price. They sent an "e" first thing this morning saying they would be sendind me a coupon and another booklet filled with other coupons in the mail. I'm on my way!!! Thanks for all the info.

My husband also broke out from their deodorant but I never thought about complaining now with what you have gone through I will not bother.

Today I got 2 envelopes from Bar S (maybe my comment went through twice?) Anyhow, each envelope had a thank you and 4 coupons for 25c off any Bar S product plus a $5 merchandise voucher! Woohoo!

I also got a free Wyler's Light coupon and a b1g1 on their frozen pops.

Yeah!

Contessa sent me 4 - $1.00/1. Came at a good time as my Frys had it on sale for $4.99. WOW groceries are expensive. Don't know how people do it without coupons.
