complimenting companies

I have a question?

When you all contact a company with a compliment on a product, do you JUST compliment the product or do you ALSO ask for coupons?

I send compliments but never ask for coupons.

When I contact a company I say I like this/I dislike this etc if I dislike something I really try to let them know why and if there's a possible way to fix something. I always ask for coupons and to be put on any email or postal mail lists.

I've never asked for coupons, and gotten a TON.

Yep. I never ask for Qs. I just say something I like or dislike about their product(s). I do have to say that smaller companies are more apt to give out Qs moreso than larger corporations. I know a lot of people do it more, but I write 1-3 times per week to companies whose products I see & use in my house. It can be a simple email or a letter if you want to get kind of fancy.

I have tried it both ways. Overall I do find you tend to get more by just complimenting, but I have noticed some manufacturers that if you don't ask they don't send.

Has anyone ever tried getting Angel Soft coupons?
How did it go?

Yep, I've gotten them from Angel Soft. I got 50 cent off coupons from them. They sent like 3 or 5 if I recall right.
