Both my Lowes and HD advertised 10% military discount over the Memorial Day weekend, and are now offering it unadvertised if you ask. I shop both stores a lot, and this is a new policy for both.

From an ex-orange apron and a current one i am engaged to, Newport News Va. location does a year around %10 military discount....no double dipping though....in other words the %10 off appliances sale this weekend you will only get one %10 off not the militay one plus the %10 off the appliance.

As a current corporate orange apron, I would suggest that you just go into your local HD store and ask the management team if they offer the discount.

I currently work for the home depot and their policy is to honor a 10% military discount with a valid military ID. This is a corporate policy and should be true in all stores if you are active military or retired vet you will get the discount. Home Depot is just trying to stop abuse of this policy and some have taken it too far,

In my area of N. San Diego county Lowe's and HD will give you the discount just show them your military I.D.

As far as I know, all Home Depot stores do the 10% military discount if you show them military i.d. Ours here in Tampa, FL (the New Tampa location) does offer it.

In response to all of the above questions. My wife is a HD Supervisor. Corp policy is that it be applied to all vets/active duty. Just show some kind of photo ID or discharge paperwork.

This is from my wife, who is a HD Manager. Corporate policy is that all is needed is a Photo ID or Discharge Papers. I am working on getting a PDF to post of the Policy for us.
