DD3 fruit trees on clearance at Home Depot

I had to go to HD yesterday to get nails to fix my trellis after Ike messed it up

I figured I might as well hit the garden center too and check out what is going on. I wanted a fruit tree to replace a different tree of ours that died. DD and I decided on a $32 peach tree.

When we checked out it rang up $15.50!

I quickly went back and got one more. They are dwarf peach trees and although one doesn't look that great HD offers a one year warranty on their plants.

It's good that you got 2 because if you want fruit, they can pollenate each other. My mom made the mistake of getting one pear tree and it never produced anything until she found out that it takes another one to get the pollen. I guess it would be the same for peaches?!

no, actually they are both self pollinating, so I could have just gotten one. Some trees are like that but you have to look for them. We have just one pear tree too and I got 5 pears this year (it is only 2 years old), also have one lemon and one orange, all with fruit.
