These are the dates that my Hobby Lobby did markdowns last year....Not sure they'll be the same this year, but it'll help you be on the lookout.


Hobby Lobby Christmas 08
Dec. 30th, 2008 = 66%
Jan. 3rd, 2009 = 80%
Jan. 12th, 2009 = 90%

does anyone know if the craft ornaments are included in the mark down or is that something they keep all year?? (it's the ones that are just plain clear bulbs)

I was lucky enough to get those on clearance a few years ago, but this year they are regular price at my store.:sad:

Does anyone know when Hobby Lobby went down from 50? I just called and they are at 66%, but the lady was rude so I didn't ask her when it went that. Just wondering if it went that on 12-30 like it did last year, or if it was earlier or today.

My experience with HL in the past is that they have e-mailed me when they went to the next level of markdowns (starting at around 80% I think). I get their weekly e-mail and I got heads up emails. Not sure if they will do that this year, but I found that helpful. (also worked good when they issued the 40% off q on Christmas Eve. My dh was the first one to use one that day when he went in to buy the last stocking stuffer.)

I'm chuckling this morning as I typed this in yesterday and low and behold there is an e-mail this morning that HL is at 80% off of Christmas stuff excluding fabric ;)

Thanks. I called mine and they are 80% today too. I wonder if they'll go 90 on the 11th or 12th like they did last year? Hmmm... Did you just get the email today or did it come yesterday?
