I got raincheck today for ken's 9 oz dressing they were all out but the rainchek sucks bc 7 days exp
I've shopped at H.E.B forever and never thought to ask about rainchecks. I did tonight because the chuck roast was on sale $1.97 a pound and there were none on the shelves. The manager said, "Yes, I can do that for you, but first let me see if I have a meat cutter in the back." Sure enough someone was available to package some meat for me, and I went home with a month's worth of meat. I don't know if they were being extremely helpful or if rainchecks are frowned on. What do you think?

I have asked a few times for a raincheck and have never had a problems. The worst park was just waiting for a manager to write it up. The only problem I ever have is just making sure I use it within 7 days or that they get it back in.
I have a pretty positive outlook on things, so in answer to your Question... I would like to think that they were being extremely helpful. It would seem that you found a manager that knew how to execute the correct rules of supply and demand. You might consider writing the company and letting them know just how helpful that person was. If you do, make sure if you don't know their name, to include your information that was printed on your receipt. They can "chase" down the manager that was on the floor at that time. Congrats on being able to get your shopping done at one time instead of several trips and using rainchecks.![]()

I have had rainchecks refused if after the 14 day limit.
