Check expiration dates for free food

I found a 1.5 lb package of turkey lunchmeat that was expired. I took it and one that was not expired to the checkout. I got the unexpired lunchmeat for free. Then to make it even better, the lunchmeat had an instore coupon that gave mayo for free with each 1.5 lb purchased. So, I got free lunchmeat and a free mayo just for checking expiration dates.

I'm confused. How did you get the unexpired stuff for free?

HEB has a policy that if you find expired food in the store they will replace it will something good for free. So if you get lucky enough to find something expired you can take it to customer service and they will give you a good one free! You can't beat that! Their mistake is your gain.
