A member of another site posted that super doubles will begin January 4th which is consistent with previous years.

Yep goes with the norm. Probably will be a slow event since most coupons expire 12/31/11. All depends all sales, printable match-ups and this week's upcoming Sunday paper.

A couple of sites have reported there are supposed to be five inserts in the 12/30 paper. That should definitely help. :)

I will keep my fingers crossed for some good deals. My stockpile is miserably low. While I had noticed through out the second half of the year that deals were slowing down considerably, it was not until earlier this month that I realized how bad it must have been. I usually go through the pantry in early December and pull any items we don't need for the food bank (either got more than I can use before it expires, or tried but don't like, etc). I bet I didn't even have a third of what I normally do. Here's to a better 2012!

DDC, shows 4 inserts, for Sunday Jan. 1, and 2 inserts for Jan. 8.
If the coupons are lack luster, we'll need to make our own deals.

Every time I look at a SD ad and think I can get by with just a few purchases, I end up finding a lot more match ups - so I'm not going to assume any such thing this time

But I'm ok if it's not a big bang up sale, really I am! I'm ready for a break from the rush of hitting the deals

A little here and there would be a tempo I could welcome!

new month new year so there's going to be a ton of new coupons so its going to be a scramble to get it tomgether by wednesday. I'm going to start clipping and pulling expireds as of now in preperation for sunday. Last year there were 5 inserts on the first sunday of the month and there were a ton of good coupons including general mills cereals and other products.
