That's my understanding. WalMart doesn't match BOGO or B2G3 offers.

Any HT shoppers go to Walmart to get the B2G3 free coke, or pepsi, price match?
I'm told that the "price" must be stated in the ad, or Walmart won't match any price.
Is that what you HT shoppers are finding when you go to Walmart with some of HT's buy 2 get 3 free sale items?
That's my understanding. WalMart doesn't match BOGO or B2G3 offers.

Well if you remove the B1G1 free or B2G3 free sales, then what is the reason to go to Walmart for a price match?
If the item cost X at HT, it will cost X at Walmart too. (unless you can save some fuel cost to drive to Walmart instead of HT)
Now the word is, if the ad states the regular price, such as buy two 12 packs for $4.99 each, and get some free, they would match it.
I'd hate to take my ad, and be in the checkout line and run into issues.
It sounds like a "we match but.....policy."
I do not know, as I might buy bananas if I am in there for something else. But to go there just for food, I do not.
Well, actually Walmart is going to be cheaper than HT's regular price, so they would be losing more than HT on a deal like that.

The thing is though, it's a "price" match policy. So, if there's no price listed, it actually doesn't even fall into the category of "price matching."
And of course, most stores aren't going to list their regular price in the ad on the BOGO type deals because it's more alluring to think you're getting all this free stuff when you're often paying more than you would if they were on sale.![]()

yes, true, but if Walmart wants me in their store they need to give me an incentive. HT gives incentives, as do other store chains.
I do not know how Walmart handles the tricky language in HT ads.
HT likes to say: "save up to X" (that is stating the price) when they speak of a B1G1 free sale.
You might save that much or you might not save that much.
I've never seen HT actually state that their coke and pepsi 12 packs are $6.29. But, if you buy them enough that price sticks with you, since it is fairly high.
How on earth would a 12 pack for $6.29 at HT be an incentive to go to there store.
Sometimes it's worth it to price match at walmart because you want to get your shopping done at one store.
sometimes it's worth it because walmart has it in stock and your store doesn't.
sometimes it's worth it because walmart leaves it up to the manager's discretion to stick to the limits and often they don't care how many you purchase.
Walmart has no limit on how many coupons you can use. So XYZ store lets me only use 20 coupons per day. Walmart lets me use 2000 if I want to.
That is why people are willing to price match at Walmart.
But not every single item in every single ad at every single store is going to be able to be price matched.
