QUESTION VIC question/20 doubled q per day per household question

okay, someone PLEASE show me where it says that they will double up to 20 coupons per household per '24 HOURS'. I'm very upset, mostly with myself for not finding this '24 HOURS' lol. so i went at 1030pm used 20 coupons then went after midnight and they did NOT double and the employee then said that it's a 24 hour period. i'm super upset. i'm very mad that i didn't read it so i don't think i'm really mad at harris teeter....unless it says NOWHERE the words "per 24 hour period" or something along those lines. Technically, I went TWO DAYS, I checked out at 11:40PM on 6/24/11 and then at 1:02AM on 6/25/11. That's two days, right? PLEASE someone help me understand their policy more clearly because I'm very bothered by this.

And I know this sounds stupid for me to get upset(I am at no one else but myself) but i am trying to get over it easily. I still did good paying $100 for $310 worth of groceries, right? please tell me that is phenomenal so i won't be mad at myself anymore lol.

Yes, you did great! Sounds like you averaged roughly 67% savings. (rough estimate based on your numbers) As far as the 24hr period, their computers don't reset exactly at midnight. I have never tried, but many others around here have said it is sometime during the night.

Happy Shopping for your next round.

well, i know now lol. do you think it's means to complain because they haven't specified that 24-hour period? because with the words "per household per day" leads one to believe they can do what i did, right? i mean, i'm not THAT upset about it, but I'm mad because I really could have saved a lot more you know?

I discovered that years ago during a coupon event at HT, had shopped early one day, was up very late that night, went to the store around 1am and found out that my coupons would not double at that hour because apparently the system resets every morning, but not at 1am

So now I know - and I agree, it should be more specific in their policy but I guess they don't expect people to shop in the same "day" period.

I believe their registers reset at 7am daily, I could be wrong, but I know that on the first day of doubles or triples, you can't check out before 7am and have the coupons doubled/tripled during special coupon events. In fact, if you're near the registers at 7am on that first day you can actually hear them "click" in, as they're reset.

Coupons are found money - who walks by money on the ground??

I responded to you in another thread, but I'll post again anyway in case you don't see it. I agree that they should reset at 7am ...my logic was exactly as $Saving! in that is when the sales and any doubling/tripling events start. You still saved money and that is all that is important, so still give yourself a pat on the back.

    EDIT: Nevermind...lol

okay thanks guys for not criticizing me lol. well, i've learned a lesson and i know what NOT to do next time. I'm trying to tell myself that I still did well, but I just can't believe i wasted 19 coupons that COULD HAVE BEEN DOUBLED on a sale that was SOOO good. It bothered up up until i woke up this morning too but what can i do? it's a good thing that I didn't have more than I had the second transaction or I would to have paid a LOT more, and thankful that I had the $70 to actually pay it haha. When I noticed they weren't doubling, I panicked. But I did get a lot of good deals. Hooray for me.

You did really great in spite of the second transaction not doubling your coupons. Be proud of yourself for saving such an impressive amount! Cheers!
