Harris Teeter: Super Doubles 3/23 - 3/29 Rumors?

So, have we heard any rumors for the date of the next one?

The last week of March last year was a coupon event....

Last year it was the week before 3/24-3/30...So I don't know if it would be that same week again or the week after.Does Easter have something to do with it? Easter was April 4th last year.

I hope there is one need to stock up on stuff! Wish they did coupon events more often

My store hasn't stopped doing super doubles since the last event. They are on week 4 now and I am completely out of $1.00+ coupons that I want to use:) My cashier said they are going to switch to triples next week and do triples for 3 weeks in a row. They are doing some market research comparing the two "events" using my store according to the cashier.

I haven't bought any coupons for triples yet, but I have begun a pile of ones that I come across that may be good. We'll see!

I think this is just my store though (Hendersonville, NC).

This is what was supposed to happen at HT but I guess they picked your store instead. We have had triples since September. Really has beefed up my stockpile.

What your store is doing, was a wild idea I gave to my Lowes manager, when they were having triples. Eventually they stopped due to a few coupon users who felt the need to cheat.

My idea was "why" not have triples (or in the case of SD's) every week, forever?
It would remove this need we all have, to stock pile coupons, make multiple trips, etc. If a new coupon came out today, then we have until it's expiration date to use it, because SD's or triples, is always there.

It is only a dream, but if they had it all the time, I think after 2-3 weeks, the crowds would decrease and things would rather calm down. We would know we do not have to rush out there at 7am on Wed. to keep from losing the deal.

I think it would help them. Currently, they double up to .99 every day. Does that promotion cause us to all run out and buy hords of food?

No, it does not.

Because it is there for us to use at our convenience, based on what coupons we have, and other factors, which do not make going to the store every day, a necessity for us.

Of course it won't happen, SD's or triples all the time, but I do not think it would be a big deal at all, after 2-3 weeks of "mad house."
I know they double .99 every day and I use it. But the fact that it is there all the time, lets me scrutinize and plan more, and actually give them more dollars than I would, if it was just a one week promotion.
