Hopefully it will be a national thing. Today I went to Ralphs and the cashier doubled my coupon for Yakisoba noodles. I'm new to couponing, what if you the price of noodles are $1.00 and you have a coupon for $0.50, what happens to the overage if it's tripled?

Harris Teeter stores are located mainly along the East Coast states.
Ralphs is a Kroger store and located on the West Coast.

This will be interesting! DH will be out of town the first 3 days so I will be taking all 3 kids (5, 3 and 10 months) with me to the store. Thank goodness for those free cookies!!

I don't know if ralphs gives you overage but most times they will only double the coupon to the amount of the item so if the item is a $1 then the $.50 will only double to $1. There are some instances when an item is $1.99 and you have a $2 coupon they will give you the $.01 overage.
