Well, they probably want to fool us. They have put a 5.49 sale tag so that we don't go to the store Wed. morning and find out that 6.19 isn't the regular price.
They'll keep the sale price tag until March 22, at which point it will just quietly disappear - and maybe a B2G3F sale will take place again.
It really doesn't bother me. I'm not easily fooled, so I was buying Pepsi at CVS the other week for 1.67/12 pk. (something like that - can't remember for sure). I didn't take a second glance at B2G3F once I did the math.
I'm happy for them to do this. As long as there are people being fooled into buying stuff, the stores can make a profit off of them.
Then I can quietly come in and pick my free stuff off the shelves and we're all happy....
Think of it this way: their high prices fund your couponing lifestyle.

I guess you have to just buy some 12 packs, and at the register, per the weekly ad, you'll get them 3 for $11.

Unless they take the $5.49 down for the week starting today,
so we THINK we are getting $6.19 twelve packs for $3.67 (3 for $11)

I've asked them to order me some of the Mountain Roar flavor, in the HT brand because they are always 5 for $10. The only non-diet flavor you can get, in their brand is the cola. I asked why is the Mountain Dew generic flavor not sold in 12 packs, and they said, lack of demand.
(so diet orange and grape and ginger ale is more popular than non-diet mountain roar? I question that)
I would buy 20 twelve packs if they could order them for me, but they say they can not. Two HT's and the only store brand in non-diet is cola. I'd love to buy the cherry cola and the mountain roar, but they say they can not get me any.

It's actually .55/2. I'll fix the original post. There is a Kraft Food & Family Booklet - Make Today Delicious that I have found at Food Lion and at BiLo. It's got some great coupons in it.
