    QUESTION Harris Teeter: Advice Please! Catalina or Customer Service??

    I waited till late last evening to do all my HT shopping... Not good.
    If I had spread these trips out over the week, I would have had no trouble.
    (1st store)
    First transaction (mix of GM items) - cats printed
    2nd transaction (mix of GM including 1 Larabar) - no cats cs gave me 20.00 cash.
    3rd transaction - 20 Larabars - no cats. Returned all because White Shirt said store will not get reimbursed for the cash and since she didn't know what the problem was, she was limiting the refund to the previous 20.00.

    (2nd store)
    4th transaction - 20 Larabars - White shirt said call cs in the morning because it was afer 10pm and he couldn't give me cash.
    5th transaction - 20 Larabars -I went ahead figuring I'd just call cs in the morniing...
    6th transaction - 20 Larabars-of course nothing, But this time, my VIC card kicked out because I had exceeded my VIC transactions for the day...totally forgot about that. So I paid 30.00 regular price for the Larabars...didn't see this till I left the store

    (3rd store)
    7th transaction - mix of items, no Larabars. this is where I figured out that I'd VIC-shopped too much. They used a store card and my cats printed.

    So now I need to either call cs or Catalina. Which one would you all recommend?
    I need the 60.00 in catalinas, but I also need 10.00 for the Larabars I overpaid.
    Will HT cs give me a hard time because I did too many transactions? The white shirt at the last store told me 7 was the limit. I did 7 transactions, but I think she was wrong, it's really 5. So will they allow me credit for 2 additional transactions?
    I'm wondering if it would be easier to go through catalina, and just call HT for the price problem on the bars.

    I know it was ridiculous to buy so many Larabars, especially when I knew the cats weren't printing, but I knew they were a legit deal and that cs should honor the ad. It was only after I remembered the VIC limit that I started wondering what they would say.
    My dh really likes them, and if I'd shopped earlier and just spread it out, it wouldn't have been an issue. My fault for procrastinating!

    i'm having trouble with catalina regarding the larabars. i bought 20, got no cat and emailed them. they said i only bought $12 worth of qualifying products and wouldn't send the cat. i guess according to them, only certain flavors count.
    but...we all know it says ALL VARIETIES.
    so i'm still fighting it!
    going to look for a harris teeter email address.

    I would go to the store to get the overpaid part taken care of.

    As far as the catalinas, I had a problem yesterday and CS (on the phone) said that the problem was system wide and they would mail me (and my friend) our catalinas. Also they are out of the catalinas at Corp, but when they got them they would mail them and if they were already expired they would still honor them (Yeah, I guess we'll see what happens when I try and do it).

    To be totally clear, the store that I didn't get the catalinas called Harris Teeter customer service. They were the ones saying there was a problem system wide (though my friend got hers when she went to another register for her second transaction). I would most definately NOT call catalina, call HT.

    found the way to email harris teeter thru their website and this is what i saw....
    We are experiencing a very high volume of emails.
    We will respond as soon as we possibly can.

    Looks like some flavors were not identified by Catalina. This has happened to me before on other OYNO type deals, where they look at the receipt that obviously has all the required items on it. They will ask for the UPCs of all the qualifying items on your receipt and then they should honor it - at least I would hope so.

    But I'll go through HT customer service - according to what everyone is saying here, and be prepared to wait.

    I was so careful to only use 20 coupons - completely forgetting other limitations. Sigh.

    they always have this disclaimer on their website, its not new.

    I would just return 20 larabars for a full refund of $30. One less problem to deal with.

    I called cs. Very nice lady. They will mail me my 3 sets.
    She said take the receipt to the store for refund of non-sale price.
    I also realized that it was indeed the 6th transaction that failed to give the sale prices. So the limit is still 5 as I thought it was.

    I had issues twice. Both times I let CS (a manager actually) know. She took my info and sent it to corporate. I was going to call catalina today because I haven't heard from anyone, but I just went out to get the mail and found my 2 sets of catalinas!

    I filled out the email contact form on the HT web site yesterday and had an email from them today that they are sending me four $5 gift cards.

    i got this from the catalina company today-

    Not all your items that you purchased showed that they are participating. If the store ad stated something differently than you need to contact them regarding fulfillment. The store is responsible for their advertisements and we just include the products that they requested. Please see your local store for further assistance.
