I'm stoked about HT!

I bought

Kleenex Hand Towels ($1 Q) --> .99
2 Kellogg Fruit Chews ($1 Q)--> free (went towards K cat)
6 MSF packages ($1/1 Q & $1/2 Q) --> 1.80 each (went towards Kellogg cat)
2 Eggo ($1 Q)-->1.50 each (toward cat)
2 Welch's grape jelly (e-vic .97)
Chicken Leg Quarters (.49/lb) --> $3.08
Breakstone Sour Cream (.99)
3 Activia Yogurt packs ($1 Q) --> free
3 Danimal Crush ($1 Q) --> free
2 Almond Breeze ($1 Q) --> .99 each
2 Milk ($2.49)
4 Tyson chicken strips packages (BOGO, plus had HT sticky for $1 off each) --> .90 each
3 Tyson steak strips packages (BOGO, plus had HT sticky for $1 off each)--> .90 each
3 packages meatballs (BOGO, plus had HT sticky for $1 off each) -- .99 each

Total was $38. I used two $10 K catalinas (my mother gave me hers b/c she doesn't like to Q), so I only spent $18, and then got a $10 Kellogg cat back!

When I saw those Tysons with the extra Q on the package, I cleared them out. Hubby likes those to put on salads at work.

I called my mother to let her know how I did and she said, "You robbed them!" I keep trying to get her to Q, but she just doesn't want to.

Sadly, even at 7am, the shelves were cleared of the Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese.

Round #1

4 lbs Angus Reserve Filet Mignon Steaks
(2) Lysol Toilet Cleaner
(1) Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese
(3) Peter Pan PB
(2) Finish Quantamatic
(4) Mentos Gum
(2) 7th Generation 25 oz Dish Detergent
(2) Colgate Pro Health Toothpaste
(1) Colgate Total 6 oz Toothpaste
(1) J&J Floss
(2) Mystic Pizzas
(3) Bagel Bite 9 count boxes

Used a $10 CAT
Coupon total: $55.14
Vic Savings: $60.69
Total Saved: $115.83
OOP: $54.12
(Steaks came to $34.35)

I was pleased! Even though spending $50+ at the grocery store is a very rare event, I had to take advantage of the filet mignon sale. Hubby begged BUT I will get back $20 of that in a rebate through beer NBPN - not shabby!

Today I got:
6 Ziploc containers (various sizes)
3 Mission White Corn tortillas
2 Lacross Tweezers
3 Smart Balance PB
9 Loreal Vive Pro Shampoo and Conditioners

I ended up doing three transactions at two different stores. I had planned to do just two transactions and get 3 more Mission tortillas, but my plans were messed up by two factors. The second store had the white corn tortillas marked 2.99. I checked my receipt from the first store and sure enough they rang up 2.99. Two days ago they were 1.87! A couple months ago they were only 1.49. I can understand going up in price a little over several months, but to raise in price $1.12 overnight? They had to have done that because of superdoubles. So I got some of the yellow corn tortillas which were only 2.29, but have much fewer in the package. Well the cashier at the second store would not double my Mission coupons. I have had this problem sometimes at this store, but this was a teenage boy and they don't usually care. He scrutinized every single coupon to see if it said DND. Then he scanned it and when he saw that it doubled he called a manager to override the double. So I didn't fight it I just asked him to take those off. Then I went back and got three more shampoos in a third transaction instead. So now I have to figure out my plan for tomorrow. I planned on stocking up on Mission corn tortillas this week, but now they are not free and I can only get them at one store. End rant/
