Bacon deal from the ad: B2G3 Smithfield Regular or Thick Sliced Premium Bacon (16 oz.) Limit 10 Total

If you have coupons, this could be an all-right deal, but the only ones I see in the database are 50¢/1 from an indeterminate source. Smithfield bacon shows up $4.99 in my EL, so 2 @ full price = $9.98 - (2) 50¢/1 = $7.98 or $1.60 a package.

I got the same deal MammaLakn got. Two different stores had the HT Premium Center Cut marked down to 99¢ so I grabbed 4 for the freezer because I haven't seen any decent bacon deals lately. They expire within the next week or so, probably the reason they're marked down. It was actually in the fresh meat (pork and hamburger) case rather than where the rest of the bacon is (by the lunchmeats). HTH.

I don't know if it's as good a quality as Smithfield, but I am not picky when it comes to bacon.

I noticed today upon shopping aside from the fact that viva 2pk is still on sale at 3.49 but the single rolls are not but the price for the single rolls used to be 2.29 and the tag today was 3.35? for one roll! they crazy!

That's totally insane! And they wonder why no one bought them before and now the price is higher and the roll is smaller . I think the PP is buying 5 packs of bacon and dividing the price by 5 items to get to 0.99 a pack. Not a bad price since my freezer is low on bacon right now.

I am fully stocked on bacon! i hate cooking it. i dont like to get spit at! My kids and husband love bacon though. if only i could get the hubby to cook bacon! I picked up poptarts today with my coupons made em 90 cents a box. glad they are on sale here too! FL has em for $2 also but they dont double coupons! I got some more salad dressings as well and a bag of dog food and hot sauce. we were running low on that! there were .50 mfq on franks and the .40 on texas pete the bigger bottles were on sale 1.50.

I cook my bacon on a broiler pan in the oven. I line the grate with aluminium foil and cut slits for the grease to run down. Perfect bacon every time. Between mom taking my bacon and me cooking it every week for breakfast on the weekend or dinner one night a week my stockpile is very low. I need some Franks hot sauce also.

I still have some OM bacon in the freezer, but smithfield is my favorite. I don't know if I can resist $2 each for them.

I made one of the HT bacon packages. No one complained I actually like it bec it wasnt nearly as greasy/fatty as the regular stuff. I should have taken 10, not just 5

Ditto! Much easier this way and you can avoid the popping from stovetop cooking!

We use the boiler pan, but hadn't thought of the aluminum foil. I think we now have a WONDERFUL use for all that free aluminum foil that never gets used. Thanks!
