Harris Teeter ~ Other: ** Confirmed by mgr at HT - NO triples week of 7/28 **

I have very good relationships with 99% of my HT employees, including/esp managers. I had a conversation with one of them the other day and I asked her about triples coming up. (This was maybe Monday.) She told me it wasn't this week (the 21st) and then I asked her about the 28th? She wondered about it for a bit and then said she would talk to some other HT mgrs and try to find out something.

Went shopping today (2 hours ago). I saw this same mgr, off duty and shopping herself, and she called me over. Told me they received their shipment of ads for next week TODAY and FOR SURE, NO TRIPLES next week. For sure! She did tell me, though, that it is a GREAT ad, lots of B1G1 and B2G3F deals. She said the front page of the ad is awesome.

All in all this is great news for me, b/c we are going out of town on Sunday for 10 days and I was stressing about missing triples. Now I can relax and have a great vacation, knowing that I'm not missing anything.

FYI - this mgr is betting triples will occur with the weekend of Tax Free Weekend. She said their sales slump hugely during that time and they like to have a big promo to coincide with Tax Free (in NC, anyway) to try to get people in the doors.

Well that is just great! We will be leaving on Wednesday of that week (Aug 4) and won't be back until Sunday. Do they have any Harris Teeters in Vegas?? LOL!!! Of course all of the good q's will expire by then anyway. I was so counting on next week!!! CRAP!

Well I have the new ad for week of 07/28/10. Rumors were correct--No Triples this week. Hopefully week of 08/04/10.

Closer to the week of 08/04/10, I will try to get the ad early like I did and post info, etc.
