My store gave me a resounding NO today on a $5 off $95 FL coupon.

I was very disappointed, thinking that they would take it.

your in fayetteville? thats cool. yepp i shop at the one in fayettevile. but i forgot to bring or even ask about the coupon. do they have a pharmacy? ive never looked lol.

My HT takes CVS $/$ coupons (the ones from CSO and also ones printed at the end of a receipt, but not printed from an email). They let me use it after all other coupons.

I asked while i was getting rainchecks today. the only ones the fayetteville store takes are the food lion off total order coupons. Thats there only competitor hear. Other then that no other money off ones they take just food lion.

I tried to use the Giant $3/25 competitor's coupon today. The coupon says nothing about being after coupons. But they would not take it until after my coupons. Went all the way up to the manager. He said no. I don't understand that. Do they honor competitor's coupons or not? Seems to me that if they claim to honor them they should honor them as written, not add more restrictions on them.

On a positive note, they would have accepted it if my total after coupons was $25.

Yes, they do honor $/$$ Competitor Coupons. What I do is not give the cashier my VIC Card or Manufacturer Coupons, etc. until they do the $/$$ first. Just go by the coupon restrictions, etc. All you have to say politely is "Just a minute" and hand them the Competitor Coupon and then proceed with other discounts, etc. I usually tell the cashier that they will need an override for the Competitor Coupon and let the managers do their "thing" and proceed with deals, etc. No problems at my stores--YMMV.

The cashiers usually will do this. The only reason that I know of that they ask for your VIC Card first is to scan for the sale items, etc. You are not obligated to do your VIC Card first as far as I know. YMMV though. I shop primarily at the Warrenton or Fairfax, VA HT stores. Best stores in the area I think.

so how can I get a CVS money off coupon?

i imagine if some stores mail money off coupon regularly, we can register a membership online with them even though they are not local.. But I do not know which stores mail money off coupon regularly.. anyone has some ideas?

cvs wont snail mail. But, you could get a $/$$ on the bottom of your receipt from CVS or by scanning your card at the machines in store. the only way your store will accept those is if your HT has a pharmacy. Then its considered a competitor so they honor them. I fuond out mine doesnt have a pharmacy and their only competitr is food lion.

Are you saying if I scan my card at the machine in CVS, there will always some $/$$ coupon coming out?

Does food lion mail out $/$$ coupons?

Weird. I shop at Warrenton and that is the store that would not take my Giant $3/$25 on Friday.
