QUESTION Question about winetags

This really doesn't have anything to do with HT necessarily, but I know a lot of you HCW/HT faithfuls use winetags. How can I find produce winetags? I've never found one! Do they exist? I'm not into the trading scene, but I am willing to buy some from a service or something. Do they sell them on the clipping sites or ebay? TIA

Produce winetags do exist, but they are few and far between. You will occassionally see them on Ebay, but they are very pricey. I've never seen them on clipping sites. Since you are in NC, have you done produce rebates? These are easier to find.

I agree with michelle, rebates are way easier than trying to find those illusive winetags that are so great. and sometimes you will get more money back inthe rebate than what you would save with a coupon. now, for rebates, trading for them, you just buying them from someone here in the trading forum is the way to go. people on ebay want way too much per rebate. become a trader and check out the forum!!

Funny thing is, I had a produce rebate about a month ago-it was $10 off 20 or 30 in produce, and I couldn't fulfill it! I do rebates, and I'm not against them, but with my family, I couldn't justify the OOP!! LOL No way I was spending 20 bucks in produce in 2 weeks! I would LOVE a $1 q or something!

I would have loved to trade with you for that produce rebate. I find plenty of wine tags. In fact, last month I found a lot of $2 off any grocery item wine tags.

Please keep me in mind

I think it really depends on where you are as to if you can find the rebates. I know I have a harder time at my local store than I do at other stores...and it is the wine reps that put them out (although I am pretty sure that the seafood tags I saw last week were given to the seafood dept by the wine rep to put out)...Not all stores get the wine tags (even the ones next to each other) and also competition is a huge factor too. 2 years ago I had a MUCH easier time finding the WT than now.

And I TOTALLY get what you are saying about how the rebates want you to spend so much, and some of them have to be all in one purchase too (or same day). I have a hard time finding $15 worth of produce when the friuts at HT are so substandard compared to a produce stand (peaches MUCH better at a produce stand than at any grocery store I have gotten them from)..Even getting items that last a long time, like potatoes, onions...it is hard to get $15 worth in one day. Then the produce stands don't give receipts or they are generic and just say how much you spent not what it was for.

But they go on regular price, not sale price - so if there are some good sales, it hasn't been difficult for me to reach the required amount...
And it doesn't have to be on one receipt...
And i keep all receipts for 3 months, so if I get a rebate that's about to expire, I can look back at all my receipts and find what I need.
But if I can't do it, I don't sweat it - after all, it's free money! (well, it does take some work...)

Those random receipts blowing around the HT parking lot can come in very handy for rebates too. For the recent P&G coupon book wyb $50 in their products, I got almost all of the required $50 from two receipts I found on the ground outside the store!

I keep all my receipts for a year...and yes I have gone back in December and found stuff (lysol buy 3 $5 rebate) from July. I think my specific gripe is Hienekin MIRs... And I just got back from The Peach Stand where I spent $6.50 on 1/2 peck of peaches and got no receipt. I usually buy speficially for rebates-atleast the past 2 months have been that way.

I have found myself picking up any receipt I find laying around the carts or in the parking lot. they help with rebates! but I agree that it can be difficult to get a large amt of produce for the one receipt or same day rebates. I am beginning not to like those darn things one bit
