I tried a similar transaction today.
I had a BOGO HT Q that printed from the Catalina. BOGO Smart Balance Milk.
I tried using the BOGO + $1.50/1 Manufacturer Q and was told I couldn't use both.
Like you, I figured it was BOGO and then 1 additional coupon was ok on the one I paid for.
I see this cashier frequently and didn't want to argue so I let it go. But, it is frustrating when my reasoning seems sound to me!? Oh well.
