Next time, note the coupon that did not triple or double and just go to customer service and let them know that "this coupon" did not triple, show them the receipt. The coupon will already be in the drop box and too much trouble for them to go searching for the coupon. NOT that your coupon is fraudulant or anything wrong at all. I once tried to explain the 5 and 9 upc code to a HT manager and I was given the "dumb customer would know anything about ups codes look". It WOULD have scanned if your clerk had TRIED. You could have said, it will double and triple, try for yourself and scan it. When it scanned fine, they may have been surprised. That DND was not put there for HT. It was put there for the stores that do not double. Since HT doubles ALL coupons up to .99, they have no reason not to double and triple all coupons up to .99 regardless of UPC being a 5 or a 9.
