QUESTION Viva and grill mates question

Went to HT this morning and the grill mates were 2.45. The coupon I have is .50/1, so that still leaves them at .95. I thought they were supposed to be free, am I missing something?

My HT only had 2 pack seasonal design rolls of Viva paper towels, and they weren't such a good deal with my .50/1 coupon. Anyone in the Northwest Charlotte area know which location carries a better selection of Viva?

If you go to the seasoning packet area there are packets of Grill Mates for $1.35 if I remember. I bought two.

HT got rid of the Viva for awhile, and is just starting to carry the single rolls again in some locations. They are coming up at 1.67 on my express lane for a single roll, with normal price 1.99. I feel like they used to cost 2.50+ for a single roll, so you may need the .85/1 coupons for the best deal anyway.

Grill mates are sold in the containers and envelopes. The ones in envelopes, like brown gravy mix comes in are the free ones. My store just started stocking the Viva single rolls again. They are much smaller than the ones we used to get. I got 10 rolls before triples started.

I used the .40/1 Viva making it .47 a roll, which I think is still a very fair price for those of us who can't get any trades for the .85/1 coupon. Isn't Viva a luxury papertowel? They seem way better quality than the Bounty basics we got last triples for .14 a roll.

Which store do you go to?

And that makes much more sense about the envelopes, I guess paying $1 for the containers isn't all that bad then.

    Thanks!

just get the envelopes if you can... as summer grilling season gets nearer there will most likely be more sales/coupons for the grilling type seasonings. most times these types of things are free after coupon.

Yup, they are $1.35, I stocked up during triples at Lowes the three days leading up to HT triples - I'm so shopped out I can't stand it!

Very little did I need to find at HT after the Lowes shopping, one thing I did have to find though was the Ortega seasoning packets at HT because Lowes does not carry any Ortega products.

I'm so stocked up on fajita seasoning now, so happy about that!!!

The "packet" grillmates are the ones that are $1.35. At my HT they are in the same isle as the rice.....with the other mix packet (gravy etc).
