Where did you find a blinkie that doubles? I've only ever seen blinkies with UPC codes that start with a 9, which don't double.

Try other stores like Food lion. They start with a 5 and double, but still say do not double. Sometimes HTwon't double it.

Tried this today, but it didn't work exactly as planned.

Used five $.70 blinkies which all scanned with no issue, however, only one out of the five doubled. So I got paid $.01 for one box, but the other 4 boxes cost $.69 each.

Afterwords, I think I figured it out. I picked up blinkies both from Food Lion and HT. I think the HT ones start with 9, while the FL ones started with 5, even though they look identical. Unfortunately, I used 4 of the HT ones which didn't double, even though I had plenty of FL ones I could have used instead.

Live and learn.

I don't even pull the ht blinkies unless it's a bogo one (like the glade last year) or if it's one I haven't seen anywhere else

Yup - that's exactly what happened! The stores usually have the same blinkies out, except Harris Teeter blinkies start with a "9" and Food Lion's start with a "5." I usually will collect them at both stores but use the "5's" at Harris Teeter and the "9's" at Food Lion.

Now if we could just convince the blinkie people to put the machines with the "5's" at Harris Teeter and the "9's" at Food Lion, we would be set!
