    Make a game of it L O L

I have even noticed what the person behind me has .Pulled a coupon for it and say here save a few dollars .
I have done that and been told, "no thanks." I cant believe someone would not want to save money. I wish they would give me some if its not that important to them.

When my (now) husband and I first met, he told me "I will NOT clip coupons, I will run them through the shredder". I told him if he wanted to be part of THIS family, to sit down and start clipping, otherwise, there's the door.

I took him shopping with me a few times. Once he started to see exactly how much I was saving, he changed his attitude. LOL

Now he goes out and gets me extra newspapers and files coupons. His only request is "please don't make me go to HT for triples/sd". (he will do FL with FLIPS, but the huge shopping trips tend to freak him out a bit)

I showed him last night our totals for 2009 for HT. Spent $500. Saved $1,600.00!!!! (we have saved over $8,000 in coupons for 2009)

Sorry that guy was a jerk.

I have had similar stuff go on in the past. I usually say to the people behind me, regardless of how they act, is "Thanks for being so patient with me and my coupons". Most people, even if they have their panties in a wad, say, "No problem".

I try and out nice them. That way they realize what a weenie they are being!

"real men don't use coupons" ha.
Betcha of all the men in the world, ones who do use coupons (or at least "get it") have a higher pencentage of being happily married/attached than those who don't.
    What do men want? Women.
What do women want? Men who care about real stuff, like couponing and being responsible.....
So all you couponing guys out there can just smile and laugh at those neanderthals. YOU have our attention.
I am lucky enough to be married to a Real Man who does use coupons (yay!).

This reminds me of something my mother said recently. She was telling of a recent trip to the grocery store in which another woman tried to give her a coupon for something she had her in cart (something I've done quite a few times myself as I'm out shopping with my loaded q binder!). My mom said, "She must have thought I was poor or something!"

You don't have to be "poor" to appreciate a good coupon! I've tried to educate her about how much $$ you can save by coupon shopping, but it just doesn't sink in. This is a woman who will spend well over $100 for just a few things at Sam's Club or Walmart. Oh well...at least she has these receipts for me to use for NBPR rebates that require a hefty purchase. I never spend more than $20 or $30 in a given shopping trip.

I recently started couponing and when my husband saw how much we saved he had no trouble using them himself. If I can't make it to the store he will gladly take the coupons and pick up the items. Gotta love him.

One man actually growled at me. Then my husband walked up behind me (he's a big man) and growling man walked briskly away. We had a good laugh at that one.
