Harris Teeter ~ Question: B2G3s

Alrighty, so I have a question. Normally there is a limit on B2G3s of two sets. Is that a weekly limit or a daily limit? Wondering what the VIC card does in the system with it.

Bonus, nowhere in the ad or on the shelf did it state a limit so I bought 5 sets today and the system only gave me the first 2 sets, but the manager gave me the rest since it wasn't written. Now I'm just wondering if I can get 2 more sets a day or if I'm maxed out?

IME - the limit is per trip. So you could go back again today I would think. Now the store may decide to enforce their own limits so it might be better to wait until tomorrow to go again - but you know the folks at your store and probably have a good idea whether they'll mind or not.

don't add any coupons into the matter or it could get real complicated. you are on the edge already, the edge of being remembered in your store in a negative way.
The only HT B2G3 free deal I did in any "volume" was way back when, on Palermo pizzas. I did 6 of the deals over a 4 day span. Never did I do more than 2 in a trip so I can not speak to their rules or limits on B2G3.
As some others can tell you, it's best to stay under the radar.

I'm more concerned about what the corporate rule is. If the B2G3s are programmed to only allow 2 per week per card or 2 per day per card. I'm not going back today, I was well taken care of with the deal today and the notice has been posted :D

If I had the coupons for the items, I would use them according to the rules, sadly I don't. I'm not on the edge of anything. no accusations........I did see "clapping" over 5 deals same trip = 25 items.
IMO 5 deals a trip = edge of greed.

you can check their corporate rules, and YMMV may not be a factor in B2G3 deals with no coupons.

They have some good B2G3 deals and it catches my eye when the weekly ad comes out. Go HT..!

The limit on these types of deals is enforced on a 'per transaction' basis - however HT *probably* (emphasis on the *probably* since I don't know for sure) intends for this to be a 'per day' thing, since they do not expect/intend for customers to break up multiple transactions to get around limits. Of course, if there is NO stated limit in the ad, then yeah I don't know how you would be expected to know that they are only going to give you 2 sets - normally the ads and signs will state something like 'b2g3 free - must b2 to g3 free - limit 10 total items' - maybe they dropped the ball on this particular ad w/ the lack of wording. I don't see how you can be expected to adhere to a limit that is not advertised, so I think the store did the right thing by giving them all to you at that price if there was truly no limit advertised anywhere.

The only things that I know of that are enforced 'per card' are eVIC deals and the 20 multiplied coupons per day. All other limits are 'per transaction' but as I said I'm sure HT really intends for them to be 'per day'...... However, if your store has plenty of stock and doesn't seem to mind you coming in and buying more stuff, well then you might just have a nice situation to work with, I'd just be careful to not over-do it so that you keep a good relationship going with the people who hold your deal-doing abilities in their hands, ykwim? :)

In my experience the B2G3 limits are per transaction. In my experience, you should have no problem buying 10 more tomorrow or even in the next transaction.

The only thing I have seen tied to your VIC card is Evic special limits and the 20 coupon doubled limits.

Hi,

I think the only limitations are the 20 coupon limit with VIC Card for Doubling/Tripling/Super Doubles. Unless it states limits in the ad and mentions limits concerning your VIC Card, I would say go for it.

I guess it depends on what you are shopping for also. Good luck--
