Re: Post your Super Doubles trips here First trip of the week at 7:15 AM, Burlington, NC store. Initial impression: not as many people out for super doubles, everything in stock.
I did pretty well but my OOP was a bit higher than it should've been because I bought a very large roast and found a hidden deal on HT brand sausage links - the ones at this store were $3.49 with $1.50 off. I also bought a few "luxury" items that I had $1 coupons for. The sausage links could've been an even better deal than they were already but I didn't realize that the markdown label was actually a coupon - it would've doubled! I didn't find this out until I was at the register with my full compliment of 20 super double coupons, but had I know ahead of time, I'd have gotten at least 3 trays of HT maple sausages for $.49 each. Oh well, maybe they'll still have this deal going tomorrow, LOL.
Also, I don't know if this is posted anywhere but I found a tearpad by the A1 sauce - buy any size bottle of A1, get $1 off of any type of beef. I promptly put that to good use on the large roast (I have a family of 7, so we need the biggest piece o' meat possible).
I couldn't find the 2010 Lipsmackers, so I had the cashier ring up the Skittles Lipsmackers, which are in big buckets along each register lane. Luckily, the coupon worked just fine.
And last but not least, I had a $5/$25 "we want you back" coupon that HT sent me in the mail, which knocked another $5 off my total.
Anyway, here's my list:
2x Lucky Charms
2x Apple Jacks
4x Ken's dressings
2x Ken's marinades
3x Welch's juice
3x Prego
2x Lance crackers
1x A1 sauce
4x Starkist tuna pouches
2x Lipsmackers
1x big ass roast
2x Uncrustables
1x Danonion yogurt thingies
4x Johnsonville summer sausages
4x HT brand maple sausage links
Original total: $129.10
OOP: $50.37
Averaged price of each item: $1.36 (just for kicks) |
