Harris Teeter ~ Question: Anyone else heard a rumor?

This is totally one of those he said she said, but I thought it was worth a post to see if anyone else had heard the same thing.

A friend told me she heard from her friend whose Dad works for HT that there is an upcoming coupon event (either a triple or a SD) scheduled for the 2nd week in Feb. Anyone else heard?

It's still a good excuse for me to get caught with my clippings and organized!

I have had enough of a break since SD I am so ready for triples!!! with the past few weeks having really weak ads, I need some stock ups! but I will only get my hopes up when a confirmation comes around

Someone else mentioned (not sure where I read this) that HT would be doing a coupon event every 45 days, which would put it around 2/17.

My 3 local HT's all have cashiers who have guessed that there would be an event after the Super Bowl. It was then made more curious by my fave CS person who made a comment about seeing me a lot more with my coupons in the next week or so. Looking for a manager who will give me a confirmation soon....I wish they would give us at least more than a 36 hour window to work with. I guess that separates us true chronic couponers(the ones who trade for coupons to cover the "just in case") from the ones who just use whatever coupons they have at the time. I am sure HT would prefer most of it's seasoned coupon shoppers to cope with the last minute notices; more unprepared and not so stocked with usable coupons. I know my coupon trading expense would go down if I bought for what I can use here and now. Hey , what fun is that? If I did not do that I would not be picking up 9 jars of dole fruit for 1.59 this week(many times during this current sale period at Bi-lo)or gatorade. I still am looking for the perfect balance. Now if the stores continue to allow us to be us crazy, prepared, bargain sniffing, couponers!!LOL Come on triples!!<please>

For snow you're supposed to put a spoon under your pillow. I guess maybe we should all sleep with a coupon under our pillows! I am excited that a couple of you have heard rumors to, perhaps we're close. At any rate I'm going to get clipping and filing so I'll be ready.

Speaking of snow, with my luck there probably will be a deal next week because it's supposed to snow here Tuesday into Wednesday :))) Think it would be wrong to hi-jack a snow plow and make it take me to HT?

what is your area?
There are stores way over in Western Tenn. and Va. and S.C. and usually the "event" is regional and not everyone gets it.
